Traspàs...
"Ocean without a shore" és una vídeo instal·lació de Bill Viola en la que es representa el lloc en el que el món dels vius i el dels morts es toquen; moments de traspàs, punts d'inflexió....
“Ocean Without a Shore is about the presence of the dead in our lives. The three stone altars in the church of San Gallo become portals for the passage of the dead to and from our world. Presented as a series of encounters at the intersection between life and death, the video sequence documents a succession of individuals slowly approaching out of darkness and moving into the light. Each person must then break through an invisible threshold of water and light in order to pass into the physical world. Once incarnate however, all beings realise that their presence is finite and so they must eventually turn away from material existence to return from where they came. The cycle repeats without end.”

Joni Mitchell és una cantautora i pintora canadenca. Va tenir una filleta de molt jove. El pare, molt jove també, les va abandonar i la Joni va decidir donar la petita en adopció. Algunes de les seves meravelloses cançons fan al·lusió a aquest fet que, de ben segur, va marcar un abans i un després a la seva vida.

António Variações, el músic-barber.
Va portar la modernitat a Portugal després de 50 anys de dictadura amb les seves cançons i la seva imatge extremadament personal.
Va ser un dels primers morts de SIDA, l'any 1984, quan la síndrome no tenia cura.

Barbara.... o Monique Serf...
Monique Serf, Barbara, és l'autora de cançons precioses. "L'aigle noir" parla dels abusos sexuals que va patir per part del seu pare quan ella tenia només deu anys... un fet que, ben probablement, va canviar-li la vida.
"Nantes" és la cançó que va dedicar a la mort del seu pare.
